BEACHES Our part of the island boasts the most beautiful beaches. Vief's favorite: Playa Kenepa Chiki (Kleine Knip), but the other beaches (Grote Knip, Lagun, Playa Jeremi, Playa Kalki, to name a few) are also fantastic. Each beach has a unique atmosphere. Bring your purple cooler and fill it with your favorite drinks (don't forget throw in a bag of ice cubes from the minimarket!) 💛 If you're looking for a bit more luxury (a place where you can just lie on your beach lounger and enjoy the freshly made 🧉 cocktails...), we recommend Karakter or Playa Beach Club Curaçao 💛 Attention to all divers and snorkelers, there’s also plenty for you to enjoy over here.

NATURE 💛⛰️Christoffelpark – National park and the home of the island's highest mountain, which you can climb...or not… 💛🌊 Sheta Boca – check out the rough north coast of Curaçao 💛🥭 Hofi Mango – the green paradise on Curaçao (also a very good place to have breakfast, lunch and/or dinner) 💛💨 Hato vlakte - see the windmills, go ‘strandjutten’ at Houtjesbaai and visit the ancient cave 💛🌳 Hofi Pastor- this is where the oldest tree on the island grows
CULTURE 💛 Kas di Pali – kunuku house…. Check out the heritage of the African Curaçao people from 1850 up to 1950 💛 Museo Tula – an open air museum for Tula, the leader of the 1795 slave revolt.
FOOD 💛 Every Sunday there's a small food market in Barber. Try the pumpkin pancakes 💛 If you want to taste the real Curaçao "Dushi", go to Bakery & Dulceria near our Private Getaway 💛 Surprise yourself and have a bite at one of our many local "Snack" 💛 Enjoy a local dinner at Jaanchi or Dokterstuin 💛 Eat at Klein Santa Martha (best sunset view), Sol (best Pizza), Isabelle off the Beach (delicious cocktails, wraps, burgers and a friendly vibe, say 👋 hello to Rebecca from us), Bahia (nice steaks, ribs, catch of the day and chicken satay. It’s on top of a cliff so you’ll have the best bay view), Marfa (check out their many special theme nights like BBQ, Karaoke, and lobster night) and last but not least Blue View Sunset Terrace (the name says it all).
GROCERY 💛 About a 25-minute drive away (towards Willemstad), you'll find ‘Centrum Supermarket Piscadera’, a huge supermarket with a wide selection of products. There you’ll find anything you need 💛 There are also several smaller supermarkets (called mini markets) near our ‘Private Getaway’, where you can find your daily groceries (such as bread, eggs, coffee, beer or soft drinks). We usually go to Supermarket ‘Sunshine’ in Barber, but ‘Sure’, which is even closer, is also a good one.
